We support Education

The Barakabaho Foundation has assisted more than 15,000 children who were still in school. The aim was not only to combat ignorance and illiteracy, but also to provide human resources to facilitate the development of the country and its people.

For this reason, the Barakabaho Foundation paid school fees, distributed school materials, organized the student camps and organized the trainings for students. In order to establish a quality and solid foundation of education, the Barakabaho Foundation has acquired a primary school and nursery school in Nyagatare by purchasing a school called "Morning Star School". This school is built on a 7-hectares with 8 classrooms from grade 1 to grade 6 and 2kindergarten classes.

We support Economic Development

Although efforts have been made to develop the service sector, agriculture and livestock continue to occupy a prominent place in the Rwandan economy. The integration of agriculture and livestock remains a key factor in the success of a sustainable development process.

So the Barakabaho has taken this into account by funding agriculture, livestock, small business and handicrafts of the beneficiaries in every zone of its interventions in order to increase and to empower economically, integrating socially all orphans and other vulnerable children in the Rwandan society.

We do Advocacy

Barakabaho Foundation has always been engaged in advocacy, especially in designing, implementing and evaluating the government programs and policies with the specific objective to empower the citizens. Basic rights, such as to have enough to eat, to get dressed, to get treatment, go to school, and to have decent housing have been our priorities in advocacy.

This program once again was planned and implemented with the aim of raising awareness among the children themselves, their families, educators and Government as they are the first responsible of the future situation of the Rwandan children.
